Yesterday was not a good day for sports. I had to go to the dentist to take out a tooth that was bothering me. Long story short, I'm almost done with 24 hours after the surgery and I am filled up to the rim with all kinds of drugs. I'm feeling good though, and think I'm handling the entire thing well.
Today is another day filled with more unknown activities. First of all I'll have to find something to eat as I'm on a liquid cold diet until later this afternoon. A protein shake has been my first though, as I finished a full carton of yoghurt last night. Avocado is also an option if I smother it to bits.
After the breakfast is done I'll be going to Middelfart Hospital for an exam of my left thigh. It seems like the marathon in May punished me so severely that I have experienced lasting ramifications leaving my left thigh filled up with a fluid. I'm seeing a specialist who'll look at it with ultrasound and then we'll see what the treatment options are. It might be that I will be very dormant during the holidays.
This is of course something I don't want to happen. Christmas often is the time for alternative training with alpine touring and hill running as the main activities. And you should hope I get to do those activities, because they always bring wonderful photo opportunities.
