Yesterday's run was the only thing on the schedule and was supposed to be a longer run. However, I never made it as far as I would have liked. After 11.5k my hands were almost numb, so I pulled the plug and went home to get warm again. Little did I know that I would later completely crash on the couch.
I always have cold hands when running, but yesterday was a bit more than normal. My body was sweaty, but still my hands were solid ice. Writing the weekly meal plan was impossible as my hands started to cramp when I held the pen. It took at least 30 minutes before my hands were back to normal and by that time I started feeling sick.
We had just eaten and it felt like my body was reacting to something. I went to the couch and fell asleep immediately, waking up more than an hour later, feeling refreshed and like I never had been sick at all.
This was such a weird day, and a very weird reaction to a rather short run. It seems that my body shouted for rest and I just had to obey. I'll try to be better at getting rest, eating right and being warm enough on the cold runs from now on.
