Of all the sports included in a triathlon, running is by far the most strenuous on the body. I try to take care of what I have, and this is why I only run two to three times per week. Especially the long runs get me tired and worn down, and I really don't want to get to a point where I'm so injured I can't train.
Right now though, running is by far the most fun activity to do. I finally feel like I'm getting more in shape, and I really want to be outside more. But for my body to handle more running I'll need to focus even more on lifting, while also renewing my running shoes.
My current shoes have close to 1200k accounted for (all treadmill running is excluded from the estimate). Strava tells me every second week to replace my trusted Mizuno, and while I would like to have new shoes right now, I'm in a process of getting shoes at a lower price through some new acquainted suppliers and shops.
Fingers crossed to this to be all done soon, so that I can get out there and run even more!
