It's been a while since I have run a half marathon race. The last time was at the Kystleden Half Marathon in 2013, and I need to remember how it was to run.
Right now I'm in a much better shape than I was back then. I remember starting off way too hard in that race, and then struggling big time for at least 10k in the middle of it. I'm more ready now though, but still need to figure out what my marathon pace is going to be.
The other day I went for a run to test how my heart rate reacts to different slow paces, and was positively surprised by the low heart rates on relatively high speeds. Especially in the end when I started increasing the speed my heart rate barely moved.
Take a look at the activity below. I know the speed isn't that good, but relative to what I have done before it is, and I'm looking forward to continuing this journey towards a new personal best in May.
