I still don't have a job after finishing my education last summer and have spent the last three weeks helping out at a triathlon store. Most of the things I have learned in the last three weeks are not related to my education, and will not benefit me greatly when I get a job, but the time spent there has given me a lot of new contacts and experiences and mostly knowledge about running shoes.
Most of the new contacts I have gotten are suppliers handling their respective brands in Denmark. I have met people from Mizuno, Xtreme, Miiego, Thoni Mara, On Running, Topo, Giant and so many more. Hopefully getting these contacts will benefit me in my quest of getting a job.
Most of the time has been spent helping the store with their commerce platform online and selling running shoes. I now have a much better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each brand and how they benefit people in different ways. This is a knowledge that I am happy to have obtained as it can benefit my running experience for years to come.
