Yesterday I participated in my first real race of the season. It was a 10k race, that was situated under the Lillebælt bridge, a flat and very fast race with about 2000 contestants in all.
There were several different starting groups, as this was also a Danish championship. This meant a little less competition in my group, with a total of 1344 people. Of those people, I finished at number 36 with the time 39:41, which is more than two minutes faster than I have done previously.
Yesterday's run is located at the same place as Lillebælt Marathon will be in a little over a month. The difference between these races is the length of course, but also that the long route goes back and forth over the bridge. I can't wait, and I hope to set yet another personal best then.
