I love to run, but my body's ability to tolerate how much I run is sadly lacking. I am getting older, and I am sure that my body still suffers from the abuse I put it through while playing volleyball. This is why I decided to go to a chiropractor.
Chiropractors have the ability to talk a lot, do a few cracks in your body and ship you off, and you really don't know whether to trust them or just think it is gibberish. I trust this science with all my heart, because the best sports injury treater I have ever had, was the chiropractor we had in my Norwegian volleyball club, BK Tromsø.
Anyway, I went to the chiropractor yesterday and she found several places that she could manipulate over the next week. I wasn't allowed to run after yesterday's manipulation session, and I understood why throughout the day. My back and neck was tired and they sort of felt skewed.
I will not offer any conclusion yet on whether it worked or not, but I will try a session or two more in order to see if I can end up with a my symetric running style that doesn't put a lot of stress on my left thigh.
