Running outside is one of the best activities I can imagine. Nothing can keep me from going out and enjoying nature, but some things can slow me down when I'm out there.
March, April and May are the worst months of the year for me. I am allergic to grass and birch, as well as some other tree pollen, and every year these months there is only one thing that really helps; drugs.
Birch season has just hit Denmark, and it is at it's highest. This is the part of the year where my reaction is greatest and the reason why I have to double up on all the antihistamines that I usually take to be able to breath during the night.
And of course this season hits at it's peak the weekend when I'm running a half marathon. Most likely I'll have no problems with breathing, as I am now aware of what needs to be done and will be doing it the next couple of days.
One day to go. Let's go!
