After a long weekend with visitors and very sore muscles after a hard race I'm getting ready to get back to my normal life again. But man am I glad I had the extra monday just to recuperate just a little bit more.
Yesterday was spent doing close to nothing, apart from buying in groceries for the week and visiting the chiropractor. I needed to see how my back had reacted to running such a long distance on tarmac.
I haven't been so sore that I couldn't move, but I have skipped taking the stairs a couple of times just to let my legs get a little bit of rest. This morning's run was limited to about a 4:45 pace because of some residual soreness on my inner thighs.
The positive aspect of this is that I'm not that sore on the part of my body I injured last year during the Copenhagen marathon. It seems like the treatment and my adjustments on cadance is working to improve my injury.
Anyways, today was back to normal. I just finished a small 3.5k run before heading to work.
