I'm finally getting closer to my goal of doing IRONMAN France in June. And now 5 weeks before is a great time to push the limits and do a half distance during training.
I've researched this a bit, and I have seen several sources refer to a half ironman as a good way to get in shape for competition, as long as it's 5-6 weeks away from the actual race. Any closer and it'll be too hard for the body to recover properly.
